Hi everyone! I’m Shelley Callahan, the development manager at Children Incorporated.
By the time you read this, my colleague, international programs director Luis Bourdet and I will already be on a plane to Bolivia. But, don’t worry, it’s not too late to join us. You won’t even need a passport!
You can follow our journey over the next several weeks as we as we catch up with the children and check in on some of the projects made possible by your contributions. You’ll see what we see, and meet who we encounter along the way.
Personally, I can’t wait to meet Roberto Andrade, the architect behind the expansion of the Montero school and who was once a child in our sponsorship program. More on him later, but for now, you can read more about Roberto and his remarkable life here.
You don’t need to wait until next week to hear from us. You can follow along in real-time and chime in on social using the hashtag #CIontheRoad. Send us a shout-out!
We’ve got a jam-packed itinerary and our journey won’t end in Bolivia. As soon as we return, Shelley Oxenham and I will head out to Kentucky to see how things are shaping up there.
That’s all for now. Stay tuned and look for us “On the Road!”
