On August 2nd and 3rd, Saxon Shoes welcomed 124 students served by the US Programs division of Children, Incorporated into one of its Richmond, VA locations, where each child was fitted with a brand new pair of shoes. The children were elated as they tried on pair after pair of name-brand footwear, until they found just the right match. Afterward, each child received a backpack, stuffed full of school supplies, courtesy of the YMCA of Greater Richmond. Children, Incorporated wishes to thank Tito Luna, Director of Community Development at the YMCA, for making this event possible. Thanks also to the wonderful staff at Saxon.
Saxon Shoes has been a Richmond VA landmark since its establishment in 1953. The company, which recently opened a second branch in Fredericksburg VA, carries over 200 well-known brands of shoes.
