Children, Incorporated Receives Top Rating

The American Institute of Philanthropy (AIP), a non-profit charity watchdog organization, named Children, Incorporated as one of its Top-Rated charities last week. Of the more than 500 charities AIP currently rates, CI was selected along with only a handful of  organizations with similar missions and given an A rating! AIP bases its rankings on each organization’s low overhead expenses, how much money is distributed to actual programs (at least 75 percent) and having an “open-book” status for disclosure of basic financial information. We are honored to be selected for this elite group and driven to continue to provide the children and families we serve with the maximum donor contributions possible.

We are closing in on our goal of giving the gift of hope to 75 children without sponsors through our Just One More campaign. As of today, we’re just 12 sponsorships away from our goal! You can make a difference by helping another child in need. As one sponsor recently rationalized, by giving up one deli sandwich per week she could sponsor an additional child for the cost of those sandwiches. Won’t you help us reach just one more of the 1,900 children who are currently awaiting sponsorship and make our February 28 goal a reality?
