Students at Deep Run High School in Richmond, VA danced the night away at the Fifth Annual 27-Hour Deep Run Marathon Dance held Friday, March 18 through Saturday, March 19. Nearly 700 students signed up for the overnight event held to benefit 12 different local charities, including Children, Incorporated. The event raised over $160,000! “The students really understand the importance of making a difference for people in their own community,” said Kathleen Kern, Marathon Dance co-director and health and physical education teacher. “They always have the goal to outdo what they did the year before.”
