SUNG AE WON

Sung Ae Won (“Won” translates to “Home”) is located in suburban town of Ichon, South Korea, which is just 30 miles outside the capital of Seoul.  In response to the problem of how to care for thousands of children who were orphaned as a result of the Korean War (1950-1953), Sung Ae Won was established for the care of these orphans.  Having originally been founded in Seoul it was moved to the more modern and spacious facilities at Ichon, where to this day it has continued its mission in providing a safe haven for orphaned and underprivileged children in this region of South Korea. The caring administrators of this well run home have given many children hope for a brighter future.  Education, nutritional care, boarding, and medical attention are provided for each of the children who come here. At this Home each child is extraordinarily nurtured and encouraged, enabling their self esteem and self confidence to grow.
